Week 3: Build Visibility
Be seen, be known, be trusted.
Choose the Front Court — Visibility Matters
Have you ever known a pro who prefers the back court? You know the one — tucked away behind the trees, far from the pro shop, hidden from members, shaded and quiet.
I’ve met those pros… and I can tell you one thing: They are almost never the busiest.
Great coaches don’t hide. They position themselves where people can see them, feel their energy, and be reminded, even in passing, of the value they bring.
I want the pro who chooses the front court — the one near the walkway or club entrance, where members naturally pass by. I want the coach who teaches with an eye on the environment, who uses every chance to say a genuine hello, offers a smile, or calls out someone’s name.
Because here’s the truth: Visibility builds opportunity.
When members see you often, they feel connected. They feel welcome. They feel like you are part of their experience at the club — not hidden behind it.
You get to choose which comments you hear:
“Hey… I haven’t seen you in a while.” “Where have you been?”
Or the ones that create momentum:
“Wow — you’re always here!”
“Do you ever take a day off?”
“You’re everywhere — I see you working hard.”
Those aren’t complaints. They are signs that your presence is being felt. And presence leads to trust. Trust leads to lessons. Lessons lead to loyal players and a thriving program.
Visibility isn’t about being flashy. It’s about being available, approachable, and engaged. Front-court pros build front-court result
The Real Message
You can be the best coach in your area, but if people don’t know you exist, your calendar stays empty. Visibility is about consistently putting yourself and your value where your ideal players already spend time — on-court, off-court and online.
Visibility is not vanity; it’s service. When you share ideas, results, or events, you give players permission to connect with you. Every post, clinic, or handshake is a door to a new relationship.
Why It Matters
• Build awareness and credibility in your local community.
• Fills your programs faster with the right clients.
• Creates partnerships with clubs, gyms, and local leaders.
• Positions you as the expert players refer to first.
Remember: visibility compounds — small, consistent actions beat one big marketing push.
Bonus Tip: Keep a simple “Visibility Tracker” spreadsheet to log where leads come from — it shows which actions bring the biggest return.
Reflection
1. Which visibility actions feel natural to you?
2. What’s one local or online space where your audience hangs out?
3. How can you add value there this week?
Write your reflections here:
Leadership Focus: Influence
Visibility isn’t about ego — it’s about impact.
When you show up with purpose, you inspire others to do the same. Leaders create space for others to shine.
Evolving Your Leadership
Who in your community could benefit from seeing you lead more openly?
How can your visibility help elevate other coaches or players?
“You can’t inspire people from the shadows. Step into the spotlight and let your purpose be seen.”
